Frequently asked questions

  • What’s happening with Ting fiber internet in Colorado Springs?

On October 21, 2026, it was announced that gFiber will be the new internet provider on the fiber network owned and operated by Colorado Springs Utilities (the network that Ting uses to deliver service).

While we’ve loved being in Colorado Springs over the last few years, we’ve made the tough decision to focus on investment in other Ting markets.

  • I’m a Ting Internet customer in Colorado Springs. What happens to my service?

If you’re already a Ting Internet customer, you’ll keep your plan (2 gig) and price until you cancel your Ting service.

If you don’t cancel your Ting service before the fiber network in your neighborhood switches from Ting to gFiber, we will stop delivering internet service to your address after that date.

The Ting Help Center has more detailed information  for current Ting Colorado Springs customers on this transition.

  • When should I switch internet companies?

The most important thing is to watch for the emails, texts and door hangers you’ll get with detailed dates on the switchover date for your specific address.

gFiber has stated that they expect to start taking Colorado Springs orders by the end of 2026 for installations starting in early 2027.

If you sign up for gFiber updates, you’ll be notified so you can get gFiber installed and your new service going sooner rather than later.

  • What are my options for a new internet provider?

Each address has different internet providers, sometimes multiple choices, so it’s always good to look at your options.

If your address has a connection to the Colorado Springs Utilities fiber network, you can sign up for updates on your address from gFiber.

In general: If fiber internet is available at your address, we’d almost always recommend fiber over other technologies. Look at the details of the service (not just the advertised price and download speed). And we like contract-free plans so a company has to earn your loyalty every month.

  • How do I sign up for gFiber in Colorado Springs?

Start by checking your address with gFiber.

If gFiber service is already available, you’ll be able to see plans, sign up for service and schedule an install.

If service isn’t yet available at your address, you’ll be able to sign up for email updates.

  • What happens to my Ting Mobile service?

Ting Internet + Mobile customers in Colorado Springs will continue to get the same mobile plan and rates available to Ting Internet customers  through July 1, 2027, even when they’ve switched internet providers.

Ting Mobile offers nationwide service and will still be available to new and existing subscribers at the standard price throughout Colorado.
